Medieval Manuscripts Online, thanks to the CDI

Based on the successful 2009 exhibit, "Witnesses from Our Written Past," the CDI worked with Travis Puller to create a new digital collection of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts. In addition to me finally (maybe - check for typos) learning how to spell "medieval," this collection has been a great opportunity for the CDI because:

1. we dealt with multiple hierarchies of MODS metadata for the first time (The Cicero has 3 books bound into 1!)
2. we got to play around with color targets when scanning for the first time
3. we plan to include the Fleming's manuscripts later this year
4. we plan to contribute to the union digital library of manuscripts, the Digital Scriptorium, once they've moved from Columbia to Berkeley
