Just a reminder that our book cart drill team rocks.

Award Time Again! Sumbit Nominations

It's that time of year when we begin the process of honoring our fine staff and faculty.

Please take a moment to nominate one or more of your colleagues for:

The Delmar Janes Staff Excellence Award (two are given this award)
The Milton H. Crouch Faculty Excellence in Research Award
The Faculty Excellence in Educational Mission Award

The nomination forms, along with the criteria, can be found at the password-protected Libstaff site:
https://library.uvm.edu/libstaff/committees/awards/index.html

The review committee this year includes the following people:

Dan DeSanto, Roger Wiberg (last year's winners) and Sue Bishop for the Staff Awards
Laura Haines (last year's winner) and Amber Billey for the Faculty Awards

We ask that the nominations be in by June 21 in an effort to have the committee's decision and celebration by mid-August.

Although it's a compressed timeframe, we do believe it will work better for everyone to have the nominations and party before the Fall semester is upon us.

Please submit nominations, and supporting materials to any member of the committee.    Questions can be directed to Nancy Bercaw.

USAIN 2014 Conference at UVM

Wanted to share the video we created for Elizabeth to take with her to the most recent United States Agricultural Information Network Conference. She utilized the video to announce that the 2014 Conference will be held in Burlington, Vermont, right here at UVM.

The announcement was met with a standing ovation!

USAIN is an organization for information professionals that provides a forum for discussion of agricultural issues, takes a leadership role in the formation of a national information policy as related to agriculture, makes recommendations to the National Agricultural Library on agricultural information matters, and promotes cooperation and communication among its members.
