Brown Bag Lunch at Dana: Sept. 1, Noon to 1 p.m.

By Tom Schmiedel

Using data compiled from the 2007 qualitative study of COM’s basic science researchers, Laura Haines will forward the conversation started by Marianne Burke, Tom Schmiedel and Ben Sandoval on e-Science, focusing on practical ways the Library can meet this group’s needs. She will start a discussion on this topic, and look forward to brainstorming with attendees of the Brown Bag on how UVM Libraries can move into the realm of e-Science.

Tom recently attended a Science Boot Camp at University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth with nanotechnology as one of the topics. He will briefly introduce nanotechnology and discuss some applications related to libraries.

Bring your lunch, and any questions you might have related to these topics. Dana will supply the cookies.
