I. Anti-Smoking Campaign
A volunteer task force of Nancy, Selene, Scott, Aaron, Angus, Sarah Gordon and an SGA rep are meeting frequently to plan a fall campaign to reduce/eliminate/redirect smoking in front of Bailey/Howe. Details of the campaign will be forthcoming. Many campus and community partners will be joining forces.
II. LibQual Survey

II. LibQual Survey
The UVM Libraries are in a four-year cycle for the
LibQual Survey (2005, 2009, 2013). Selene Colburn will customize, map and
market the survey with assistance from both libraries and the systems
department.The target date for the survey to run is March 12 thru March 25th.
III. Future of Government Information
The Government Documents Collection Group (Bill, Trina, Sharon, Catherine and Scott) has created a report on the “Future of Government Information in the UVM Libraries.” They have put forth the need to re-brand the department as “Government Information.” The Council agreed. Also at issue, closing the service point and moving toward a greater online presence. Please see report for full details.
IV. Digital Measures
Sarah Gordon is working with Associate Provost Gail Nunley to create an educational mission section specifically for librarians. Until there is more information, Digital Measures is on the back burner.
V. Other
Mara: The ACRL Annual Survey will now be centrally coordinated through the Dean’s Office.
Laura: A “label point person” is needed from each unit to move forward with replacing the DYMO label makers. Department heads are asked to supply a name to Albert Joy to coordinate efforts.
