On Friday, June 22, we celebrated Darelene's 37 years of service to the UVM Libraries. It was a party fit for a queen, our queen of all good things! Known for her dedication to community service, as well as her work, Darcelene will also be remembered for her vigorous rendition of the budget report at the annual meeting. Not surprisingly, her retirement party was well attended, and everyone in attendance was well fed! One party-goer wondered out loud who would open the doors to Bailey/Howe that now Darcelene will no longer do the honors. Hmmm...
We will greatly miss Darcelene's generous heart, but we hope she'll make special guest appearances at every Libraries' event--especially the annual meeting.
